Chicchan Concepts

The Mayan glyph for Chicchan is a serpent’s head, as is the Aztec glyph for Coatl. Chicchan is life force (itza), or kundalini, representing spiritual awaken- ing, the great god Quetzalcoatl/Kukulkan (the Feathered Serpent), evolution, emergence, and renewal. It is the power coiled at the base of the spine, symbolizing living up to potential. Chicchan illustrates ignoring the journey, failing to reach your potential, and wasting energy, talent, and resources.
